The problem was, what one house lacked, another would have.  It was impossible to find a house that would fit our needs.  I mean, we are talking about a huge sum of money to shell out for something that isn’t perfect.  This isn’t like buying a refrigerator.

In the end, we decided to build.  It’s not something we wanted to do, but rather, it was something we felt we had to do.

Having heard nothing but horror stories, we obviously were cautious.

The funny thing is, Schumacher Homes was literally the last home builder we looked at.  We were, at the time, blown away by the presentation and the staff.  We decided to trust them with this enormous undertaking.

For weeks, my wife and I were wondering if we had just settled.  I mean, after all we were just burned out with builders.  There is only so much one couple can take!

At no point during the building process were we ever disappointed.  The constant communication was wonderful and they actually listened to every suggestion we brought to the table.

During one of our walkthroughs we noticed some minor problems.  Not only did they never make us feel like we were bothering them, but they actually made sure it EVERYTHING was taken care of before our next walk through.  It seems to me that their project managers were on top of things the whole time.  Let’s just say some of my friends weren’t happy with me given the problems they had!

In the end, we are happy in our new house.  To this day we still stay in touch with the Schumacher Homes and have recommended them to several of our friends who are also growing their family.  We were very satisfied and hope this little post helps someone make up their mind.  I know how agonizing this decision making process can be.

After reading up on all the layout, financing and customization options we were sold. But, really, it truly is something. I can’t begin to tell you how great our custom home from Schumacher Homes has treated us. It’s been a great house to live in that far exceeds our needs and — in keeping with upholding my family’s safety — ensures complete shelter and absolute comfort. What else could anyone want?

Living here has been worth the time in planning, the money in spending and the effort of moving out of that old, shabby house. In all honesty, going through the process of planning, purchasing and moving into our new custom home was all too easy. Yet, going into the situation, the family was more than overwhelmed. Between all the choices to be considered and all the decisions that needed to be made concerning our new custom home, we knew it was going to take us quite a bit or time, not to mention patience. However, once we were in the thick of the making our house actually happen with our home builders, it was, surprisingly, one of the easiest things we’ve accomplished together as a family.

And, the many contributing factor to why this entire venture was made easier was all thanks to the great, hard-working people at Schumacher Homes. They truly took not only our needs and wants into consideration, but they also took our passions into mind. Everything in the home was catered to and tweaked and modified to our particular specifications. And, best part about it, if our expectations weren’t met, we could simply bring it up to our builders and they’d have no qualms about fixing it, whether that be done on the spot or a few days down the line.

Also, consider that upon the houses final construction, nothing was undone and every last aspect of the home was perfect. With inspections conducted, there were literally no defects or serious errors that were noticed. So, all in all, despite our prior notions and difficult expectations, Schumacher Homes really went out of their way to make the process as easy as cake. And we ate it right up.
